Donate Items

Donated items given to Habitat Boone County ReStore will be sold to the general public. Funds generated from the sale of these items will directly help support our mission to provide decent, sustainable, and affordable housing for hardworking people in Boone County.

All donated items must be in good, clean, working, and sellable condition. Thank you for your understanding.

Items We DO Accept

Appliances

5 years old or newer; Must be in working condition; Must have all parts

  • Dishwashers

  • Dryers

  • Freezers

  • Microwaves

  • Refrigerator

  • Small Appliances

  • Stoves/Ranges

  • Washing Machines

  • Window AC units – new or unused
     

Bath

  • Bathroom Vanities (complete with doors and drawers)

  • Framed Mirrors

  • Medicine Cabinets

  • New Shower Stalls, Bases and Pan 

  • Pedestal Sinks

 

Building Supplies

  • Decking Materials – 100 sq ft +

  • Insulation - new and in original packaging

  • Plywood – minimum 1/2 sheet

  • PVC/Copper piping

  • Roofing materials

  • Unused Lumber - at least 4' long

 

Cabinets/Countertops

  • Cabinet Sets (complete with doors and drawers)

  • Granite/Marble/Quartz Countertops

  • Single Cabinets (no rot, damage, or mold)

 

Doors and Windows

Doors must be free of water damage, rotten wood, and damage

  • Exterior Doors

  • Interior Doors

  • Shower Doors – new and in box

  • Storm Doors
     

Home Decor

  • Artificial plants

  • Artwork/Frames

  • Baskets

  • Decorative pillows

  • Framed mirrors

 

Flooring

  • Boxes of tile - at least 100 sq ft., in original packaging

  • Boxes of hardwood flooring – at least 100 sq ft., in original packaging

  • Boxes of laminate flooring – at least 100 sq ft., in original packaging

  • New or gently used area rugs (free of rips and stains)

 

Furniture

Must be free of rips, stains, tears and pet dander;  Items must be broken down and ready for transport

  • Bed Frames (twin, full, queen)

  • Outdoor furniture

  • Sofas

  • Recliners

  • Rolling Desk Chairs

  • Upholstered Chairs

  • Wood or Metal Furniture: tables, dressers, bookcases, chairs, sideboards, etc
     

Lighting

  • Ceiling Fans (Must be assembled)

  • Interior and Exterior Fixtures

  • Lamps
     

Plumbing and Sinks

  • Faucets

  • Sinks

 

Tools and Hardware

  • Cabinet pulls

  • Door hardware

  • Hand tools

  • Lawn and garden tools

  • Power tools (Battery and electric only, with battery and charger included)

Items We CANNOT Accept*

Our ability to accept specific items can be dependent on the following conditions:

  • If it only fits with certain sizes, brands, or models it may not be resalable

  • Sometimes we just don't have enough room

  • Some items are too fragile, or potentially dangerous to staff, volunteers, and customers

  • Due to high handling and disposal costs, we can not accept the following items

This list applies to both truck pickups and drop offs.

  • Scrap lumber (under 4')
